A thoughtful renovation of a historic Milton home, balancing modern function with the character and craftsmanship that make the original house distinctive. The project introduced a completely reimagined kitchen and living spaces while preserving the materials, proportions, and architectural details that give the home its sense of history.

Project Goals

The goal was to create a home that worked better for contemporary family life without losing what made it special. Existing spaces were reconsidered to improve flow, functionality, and connection, while original architectural elements were preserved wherever possible. New work was designed to feel appropriate to the age and character of the house rather than noticeably new.

Our Approach

The renovation required careful coordination between old and new. Original timber framing, traditional detailing, and other historic elements were retained and incorporated into the finished spaces, while new cabinetry, finishes, lighting, and building systems were integrated with a restrained approach.

The result is a home that feels evolved rather than transformed—more functional and comfortable for everyday living while remaining grounded in its original architecture.
